Cypert's Minnow

This originally was developed by Charlie Cypert for fishing South Texas white bass runs. It can also be used well with sunfish, bass and crappie. You can add some lead to get it down faster, or even some heavier dumbbell eyes if you choose. However traditionally it is tied with bead chain eyes. Its a very simple pattern that can be tied in a number of different color combos and you can fill a box quickly. I would call this a guide style fly, that allows someone to make many flies in a short amount of time with low cost materials. You can tie these in a number of different sizes as well.

As you all know, I work closely with both www.risenfly.com and www.dooleysflyfishing.com. Both of these shops have offered every one of my subscribers a discount. So go to their shops, and type in "McFly" at checkout for 15% off of anything you buy on their sites. The hooks risen sells are just as strong, if not more strong than the ones I used today in the video. But priced much more reasonably. So definitely check them out.

Make sure you check out my Patreon for there are some great perks that I think you would like. For as little as $1 a month you can sign up and start supporting this channel. Depending on the tier you sign up for, you can get early access to all my videos, 1 on 1 support and question answering from me, participation in my live streams, fly video suggestions, and even discounts on my hand tied flies. There are many more perks as well so go to www.patreon.com/McFlyAngler to sign up today.

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
