In the late eighties, the local flyfisher and flytyer along the banks of the famous river Mörrum Lars Terkildsen tied a bunch of the famous Ullsocken flies in a new mixture of ginger, brown, and orange – today known as the colour Mörrum Orange or Mörrum Ginger. The body of the flies were tied with herls from a peacock eye feather, which turns into a sort of nice bronze in the humus-coloured water that runs in River Mörrum. In this video we have had Stefan Enevoldsen from Fiskeshopen in Mörrum, to demonstrate the tying of this super effective pattern especially for when the water gets lower and warmer.
