The Hay Thief - Høtyven

Scandinavian shrimp-flies have shown their worth over most of the globe, and the popular Pattegris (the Pig) has proberbly caught fish all over the world - but a new Danish coastal fly is gaining the same popularity. The skilled Danish coastal fisherman and fly tyer Troels Holstein Kaa has over several years developed a palmer-hacklet shrimp fly that should work well in all seasons - it should be easy to tie and able to withstand many hours of use without breaking. The combination with the classic shrimp colors tan/ginger and then the long vivid orange rubber legs and the fluorescent head has secured Høtyven a place in many coastal flyfishers boxes and for a good reason - it is extremely effective even for "tricky trout".

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
