Fly Fishing & Exploring in Iceland - Sauðlauksdalsvatn

In this online lecture we will learn about my favourite fishing spot. That's a lake in a valley called Sauðlauksdalur, we'll have a brief look at the history of the place, the ecosystem in the lake, and what have possibly changed last 30 years. Also we'll have a look at how to reach Sauðlauksdalsvatn, fishing rules and restriction and more. The slides in the lecture are all based on my own experience of fishing, but not scientific researches. Hopefully you'll enjoy the lecture.

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
