Tied by: Kevin Kirkelie
Originated by: Kevin Kirkelie
Hook: Mustad 79580 #1
Thread: Black 6/0
Tail: Golden pheasant tippets
Body: Light orange floss
Rib: Gold flat tinsel
Wing: Orange bucktail then white bucktail
Collar: Golden pheasant tippet tied in clumps to form the collar
Eye: Jungle cock nail
Head: Black
Notes: At first glance, Kevin's Orange Sherbert looks like a throw-back to Carrie Stevens' Golden Witch or perhaps the Lady Ghost. Kevin uses a novel approach to create the collar on the fly. He uses small sections of golden pheasant tippet to surround the head. The result is a boldly colored, full looking shoulder / throat. Kevin also stipulates that the orange bucktail in the wing should be tied slightly longer than the top white portion of the wing.

Long story longer
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
