Prince Nymph

Here we will be tying the well known pattern Prince. The Prince Nymph has been around since 1930's or about when Doug Prince came up with it. Doug is from Oakland California. Earlier and the actual first version of the fly was from Don and Dick Olson, brother from Minnesota. Originally the fly was called Brown Forked Tail, and it had ostrich in the body instead of the peacock. The Prince Nymph is indeed among TOP10 flies of all time, and goes there with flies like Pheasant Tail, Zug Bug and more heavyweight patterns.
The fly is a great option for both stream and lake fishing. The fly catches both brown trout and arctic char. Simple to tie and totally worth keeping a few in your box when you go fishing.

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
