Balking Shrimp

This is a pattern that I've been tying for a client over the past couple years that has been fished in Mexico and Hawaii for bonefish and other saltwater sportfish species. The fly is a variation of Bob Veverka's Mantis Shrimp pattern and has been a killer with the bones. I prefer using silicone legs vs. the rubber because the rubber breaks down rather quickly and the silicone remains intact for a longer period of time.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
