Karat Fly

There are plenty of big fish coming out of the larger Stillwaters. I would bet a pound to a pinch of salt they are falling to patterns not dissimilar to this! Larger Humungus style flies create a huge amount of movement with the chain bead eyes and long mobile tails. Generally they are fished on fast sinking lines like DI7 and DI8 and the retrieve is mixed up. The takes when fishing like this can be few and far between but when you get one it may well be the fish of a lifetime!

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
