Easy line change

A lot of flyfishers only fish one line, i.e. because that is all what they need as they fish shallower still waters or changing of a line is too much effort.
An easy, fast way to change the lines is as follows:
Make sure your leader is longer than rod. Wind the fly line onto the reel, stopping with the leader just before the reel, not onto the reel, with the fly hanging out of the tip top eye, clip off the leader from the fly line. Take reel or spool off and make sure you hold the butt section tight of the leader. Place new reel or spool on and attached the butt section of the leader with a clinch knot or Pitzen knot onto the loop on the fly line and you are ready to cast and fish. Once you have practiced this, you should be able to do in less than 40 seconds.

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
