Notes: Michael has designed a visually stunning pattern that will also do well swimming slowly behind a trolling motor or a lazy canoe paddle. Michael designed the Brookie to imitate juvenile brook trout. The legendary large brook trout and landlocked salmon of western Maine have been known to feed on these smaller vulnerable trout. This is a fact that Michael does not overlook and has crafted his streamer based on this knowledge and his observation on the water. The dark green feather used for the shoulder really pops, haloed with a rich red, suggesting that this is a young injured trout is in need of a merciful apex predator willing to put it out of its misery.
