A simple, floating and very lifelike snail imitation

Instruction:
- The house is made from a spiraled foam strip.
- Mount a needle in your vise.
- Cut a narrow strip of foam to a long taper.
- Tie in the thick end on the needle.
- Add superglue and wrap a spiral.
- Trim off the tag.
- Slip the house off the needle.
- Take another foam strip.
- Trim it to a triangular shape in one end.
- Mount the hook in the vise.
- Tie the blunt end of strip onto the hook.
- Take two pieces of thin mono and tie in as antennae, forming a small head in the process.
- Glue the house onto the body foam, flat side down (see article for notes).
- Use markers to add colored accents to the body and house.
- Finally use varnish and LCR to reinforce the foam and give the snail a shiny surface.
- Trim the antennae and add blobs of LCR or varnish as "eyes".
