Bonefish CDC & Elk
Articles w/pattern
Originator:
Paul Slaney
Pattern type:
Warm saltwater fly
Skill level/difficulty:
Easy
Species:
Materials:
Hook | Sharp, strong, straight eye |
Thread | Tan 6/0 |
Eyes | Bead chain, lead or tungsten dumbbells or nothing at all |
Underwing | A bunch of CDC feathers, tied in at the eye, I don't bother to wrap the feather down the hookshank anymore. The flies last longer if you don't |
Overwing | Elk, deer or whatever. I like it to flare a bit |
