Fishing not Allowed

So, I took my son fishing with his brand new fly rod, and we got kicked out of the park. Apparently San Antonio had closed down all parks due to covid. I guess no one got the memo that parks are kinda where you go to social distance, but hey I won't pretend to know anything about how this stupid virus acts. Maybe being outdoors, far away from people is the most dangerous activity?

I am obviously not happy about this, and I feel this is overreaching. But I will say the policeman was very kind. I told him I wouldn't put him on camera (even though he said it was ok to do so) because I have respect for our police. I will say though that he was just doing his job, and was very kind about it. But the law itself of closing down all parks in my opinion is not a good one.

Well as you could see, the little time we had with this rod, it performed amazingly. Its a very affordable rod from www.risenfly.com, and perfect for that beginner setup. Also it has lifetime warranty and really the only sub $100 fly rod I would ever recommend. Honestly it fishes better than some $300 rods ive fished before. Go to www.risenfly.com to get one, and make sure you type in the discount code "McFly" at checkout for your discount.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
