Night fishing

Night fishing for sea trout is one of my favorite types of fishing. In this podcast I take you on a night fishing trip and let you get some of the impressions that I had during the darkest hours of a night on the Swedish coast. No fish are caught while recording, but the trip was an overall success with 22 fish registered in the journal -- of these 15 sea trout. That was between three anglers, but even though we were night fishing, quite a few of the fish were caught during the day. This an important fact to observe: fish are there through the day in the summer too. And there is something completely new in this podcast: music! I found Magnatune, which is a very cool online music label that allows non-commercial podcasters (like me) to use their artist's music for free on their podcasts, even without asking. So I have fooled around with Jag's lovely guitar blues and tried integrating a bit of his music into the outdoors tracks recorded in situ on the coast. Let me know what you think about this new experiment. It takes a lot of time in the production phase, so if you don't like it, I'll drop it again. Another non-fising issue is that I have cut the size of the files significantly by encoding in a lower quality. This should not influence the sound, but in case you find that the quality is too poor, let me know.

A relaxing way to st...

A relaxing way to start the day, Martin! Cool music too if a bit frantic so early in the day. Wise words about fishing being the cure for the head of steam we sometimes find ourselves coping with! I try to explain to my non-fishing friends that angling is as good a meditation technique as yoga! Fishing isn't always about catching fish!

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
