FYI...
Whilst tyin' at the Symposium I had the opportunity to use this beautifully designed light and was dabbling with some Light Cured Acrylic...
The properties of the light allowed for good colour rendition, attention to detail, and was easy on my tying eyez... NICE!!!
But it soon became apparent that a premature skin was developing on my target... 'almost like epoxy approaching initial set...
Interesting...
After returning home to my bunker here at Area61 I conducted an "unscientific" experiment...
I placed some CCG, Tuffleye, FLEX, and Bug-Bond on a glass slide and exposed the samples to my DayLight florescent tying light...
an uneventful starting off point... Â

5 minutes under my DayLight lamp...
'bodkin pokes and strokes healed quickly...

the same samples with 4 minutes of exposure to the cool L.E.D.
my bodkin strokes across the surface revealed slight memory...

after 6 minutes under the cool L.E.D.
the partially cured acrylic samples had become somewhat firm and unworkable... the strokes were now quite tenacious...

I like light cured ACRYLICS and I like the cool L.E.D. light but...
If you are going to be using "light cured acrylics", consider your proximity to UV and Blue Light sources [windows] to include your source of bench light...
Evidently, the cool L.E.D.'s have some of the specific "excitation frequencies" that can start the acrylic curing process...
Would I buy/use this light... ABSOLUTELY!
but I wouldn't use it while casually applying light cured acrylics...
'a proper sense of urgency might resolve the unintended consequences...

Funny with Petijean's vice. I always found it overly complex and way "too flexible". Jack of many trades, king of none, you know. And very expensive too. But is sure is impressive when Marc demonstrates it.
Fun experiment with the light curing glues. I have used Bug Bond and love it, but have no experience with the other brands.
PS: your windows looks like mine! ;-)
